Food for gastritis: what can and can not be eaten?
Gastritis is one of the most common diseases of our time. Frequent snacks and meals on the run, a wide variety of fast foods, food poisoning of poor quality - all this can cause gastritis. This is probably why many people now suffer from stomach problems. But how to deal with them?
For this, it is not at all necessary to constantly take medication, the main thing in treatment is the correct and well-chosen diet, which will not cause irritation of the mucous membranes and aggravation of the disease, but at the same time will saturate the body withall the necessary macronutrients and vitamins.
Basic rules
The main task of the diet for gastritis is to adhere to a diet that ensures normal digestion. The gastritis treatment schedule (per day) should contain:
- 90-100 gr. squirrel (and 60% animals),
- 50-80 gr. fat (75% animals)
- 300-320 gr. carbohydrates.
Nutrition rules for gastritis:
- Recognition of mass. With gastritis, the saying "after a meal should remain a slight feeling of hunger" is more important than ever. First, the feeling of satiety occurs only 10-15 minutes after eating, and, secondly, an overfilled stomach does not cope well with its functions, especially gastritis.
- Diet. First, you need to follow the food intake (at the same time). Second, with gastritis, food should be partial, 4-5 times a day, but at the same time it is necessary to refuse snacks (they provoke "excessive" secretion of gastric juice and reduce its production during the morning/ lunch / dinner, which violates the processes of food processing and assimilation). You should categorically exclude reading while eating, watching TV and "running while moving".
- Rest after meals. After each meal, you should rest for 15-20 minutes (it is not necessary to sleep). You can read a book or listen to music.
- Chewing food. Prolonged chewing of food (at least 25-30 seconds per piece) contributes to a more complete mechanical processing of food, which facilitates the work of a sick stomach. In addition, hunger in this case is satisfied faster (which prevents overload). Rejection from complex dishes
The total energy value should be 2200-2800 kcal.
Nutrition with high acidity
With this form of gastritis, it is recommended to use a diet that aims at thermal and mechanical saving of the stomach, as well as in reducing gastric secretion.
Allowed products:
- casserole, cheesecake, pastries, baked cakes;
- milk, especially tea, all kinds of fermented milk products, including yoghurt and yoghurt, fresh cottage cheese with puree;
- fish, meat or chicken soup cooked in cereal soup;
- dry white crackers, vegetables and butter, milk soup with cereals or pasta;
- steamed omelettes, eggs in a bag, vegetable dishes in the form of mashed potatoes, pudding, soufflés, weak tea, sweet fruits and berries in jellies, creams and compotes;
- beef, lean beef, chicken in the form of meatballs, puddings, zraz, steamed cutlets (1-2 times a week, it is allowed to eat lean boiled meat in pieces).
Prohibited products:
- soup with fatty mushrooms and meat;
- carbonated drinks;
- spicy smoked meats;
- raw vegetables, pickles, pickles, vegetable spice snack, lemon juice;
- black bread.
The purpose of the diet is to aggravate gastritis with high acidity to normalize the functioning of the intestines and stomach, limiting thermal, chemical and mechanical stimuli.
Low acidity diet
The purpose of the low acidity gastritis diet is to stimulate (in moderation) the production of gastric juice as well as the mechanical saving of the stomach.
Prohibited foods for hypoacid gastritis:
- restriction of pearl barley, legumes, millet;
- fresh bread, baked goods ("heavy" food for the stomach, complicates chemical and mechanical processing);
- oily and salted fish;
- thick-fiber vegetables and fruits (cabbage, turnips, radishes, cucumbers, peppers), mushrooms;
- fatty meats, pheasant meats (films), canned food, smoked meats (inadequate mechanical processing of food, excessive release of hydrochloric acid);
- spicy and salty varieties of cheeses, milk - neutralizes hydrochloric acid;
- berries with grains or thick skin (raspberries, strawberries, red currants, raisins, figs);
- spices and herbs (irritate the stomach lining), as well as chocolate, grape juice, alcohol;
- pork fat and pork fat, beef, lamb (not absorbed due to low production of hydrochloric acid, difficult to digest products).
Food should be taken after the onset of hydrochloric acid secretion, that is, in the first stage (advertising or programs about food, beautiful food pictures, "tasty" conversations can provoke the release of gastric juice).
Diet for gastritis in the acute phase
Special attention should be paid to the diet for gastritis in the acute phase. The requirements for the products are the same as for all types of this pathology, but stricter.
In the acute form of the disease it is recommended:
- low-fat cottage cheese;
- yesterday's white bread and without cakes or muffins;
- only lean, boiled and mashed or finely chopped meat;
- soup exclusively in vegetable juices;
- non-acidic compotes and jellies;
- soft-boiled eggs or in the form of steamed omelette;
- vegetable puree from the range of baby food, it is also good to borrow fish and meat puree from a jar from babies;
- sugar-free teas or infusions.
During the period of immediate deterioration from the menu, they are completely excluded:
- preservative products, fragrance enhancers, artificial colors;
- raw vegetables and fruits;
- milk and any milk container;
- all kinds of pastries, except yesterday's bread;
- margarine, cooking oil and butter;
- pearl barley;
- all kinds of beans and beans.
Also, all general restrictions on the products themselves and the methods of their preparation remain in force. Usually, the crisis passes in 3-4 days, then the diet becomes more varied, in accordance with the general recommendations for patients with gastritis.
